{FREEBIE} Five Little Bunnies Subtraction Shared Reading and Finger Puppets
I created this fun Easter/Bunnies shared reading and finger puppets set back when I taught Kindergarten, but it's still great to use in the library, as well! Click on the pictures below to download this freebie. Also, at the end of this post, you can purchase the emergent reader from my TpT store that matches this set.
I also created an emergent reader to go with the rhyme. You can purchase it through my TpT store for $1.50.

Five Little Ornaments Subtraction Emergent Reader with FREEBIES!
I'm having so much fun being snowed in that I might be guilty of refreshing the school closings web page of our local news station no more than 8 million times in the last hour to see if my school has been added to the list. Yes, I receive texts from the Principal, Facebook messages, emails and a phone call, but knowing right away is such an amazing feeling! ;) Ha! Does anyone else share in this excitement?
Okay, maybe I should lay off the Coca-Cola a little! :)
This morning, I created an emergent reader and a few freebies to go along with it. Be sure to check them out! Click on the pictures to take you to my TpT store to purchase the reader or download the freebies! Just so you know, the freebies are included in the reader file if you purchase it.

Zoo Animals Shared Reading, Emergent Reader, Finger Puppets and More!
This is the first year that we have planned not to take our Kindergarten students to the zoo. Every year it seems like we battle with the weather and it's so unpredictable that it was easier to go with an indoor field trip this year and not have to worry about rescheduling. I'm really looking forward to our new destination (a science and discovery center), but I will definitely miss the zoo. However, we were lucky enough to still get to teach a unit on zoo animals!
I have a created a few resources to go along with ELA and Math that still incorporate zoo animals into Shared Reading and Math Work Stations. Be sure to check them out in the next few days while they are on sale! Click on the pictures below to take you to my TpT store. They would also go great with my zoo animal hundreds charts like the lion and monkey!

Five Little Bunnies Subtraction Shared Reading and Finger Puppets {Freebie}
Earlier this year, I had seen the rhyme Five Little Cookies and I loved it! It has quite a few different versions, but I liked the simplest one the best. I knew it was something I could adapt for different themes. We are getting ready to work on subtraction this week and I needed something that would fit Easter and subtraction. I hope you like the freebie. Just click on one of the pictures below to download them.
I also created an emergent reader to go with the rhyme. You can purchase it through my TpT store for $1.50. I would love to send it to the first three people who comment and include an email address. :)

Valentine, Valentine What Do You See? Emergent Reader
Well, the infamous third quarter 'comfortables/crazies' have kicked in my classroom. You know where students aren't really worried anymore about self-control, they are absent all the time because everyone shares their germs and support from parents tends to wane a little because their child 'never acts like this at home'. Behavior and germs and denial, oh my!!! (Oops, did I say that out loud? Sorry!)
So, I took a nap tonight and regrouped. Then, I was all motivated and ready to create something fun for my wonderfully fabulous, talented, supportive, witty, amazing and faithful followers because I LOVE you all!!!
Head on over to my TpT store to purchase a copy of my Valentine, Valentine What Do You See? Emergent Reader.
Also, if you haven't checked the February Math & Literacy Stations Google Doc lately, be sure to see if there's anything you can use. Almost everything that everyone has added is free. Yay!!!

Presidents' Day Emergent Reader
I just added a Presidents' Day Emergent Reader to my TpT store. I had to purchase quite a bit of clip art for it because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted for free or that offered the availability of commercial use. I wish there was a site that had links to all kinds of sites for teachers that everything was available for commercial or freebie use. Maybe we need a linky party for that! :)
I hope you like it!
***I'll send a free copy to the first three people who comment with a link to something you find amazing for teaching Kindergarten students about Presidents' Day. It doesn't have to be your own idea. :) Be sure to include your email address. Thanks Gladys, Constance and Miss Nguyen's Class for being the first three to comment! I have sent each of you a reader. Let me know if you don't get it for some reason.

I hope you like it!

Winter Fun Activities for Kindergarten
I've been searching around for lots of new things to do this winter and I thought I'd share some of the great freebies that are out there.
I know there are tons of great paid items, as well. However, I'm a huge Dave Ramsey fan and one of my goals for the New Year is to pay off our last 20 acres by the end of the year so I was only looking for freebies. (If you haven't heard of Dave Ramsey, you should definitely check him out. His book, Total Money Makeover, completely changed the way I look at money, finances and debt.)
If you have a New Year's goal to save money or pay off debt, you should definitely look into his books or classes. Sorry for the little plug for Dave, but I love him!!! A sweet friend of mine gave me free tickets to see him live a few months ago and according to my husband, you would have thought I was a teenage groupie the way I was like, "Oh, Dave! Did you know I get to go see Dave? Look, there's MY Dave!" Ha! It's seriously sad, but I do love the man for saving my finances. My biggest and best achievements were paying off my grad school student loans years early and saving an additional $300 per month for retirement. We now have everything but our land paid off and that is such a huge blessing. Yay! Now back to our regularly scheduled post on winter planning. Sorry! ;)

Stone Soup {Printables}
The Monday before Thanksgiving, our Kindergarten classes always get together to read the book Stone Soup and then watch the movie. Two weeks before that, we begin asking families to send in canned or fresh vegetables for us to make our own version of Stone Stoup.
I created the following printables to go with our day full of Stone Soup festivities!

Five Green and Speckled Frogs Subtraction Reader
I finally 'jumped' into the TeachersPayTeachers 'pool' with a Five Green and Speckled Frogs predictable subtraction reader, along with manipulatives, flash cards, number word and quantity matching cards, etc. You can find it in my TpT store for only $2! I thought it would be a great addition to our Math Work Stations next year.

Amazon has a Fisher-Price Rainforest CD that includes instrumental music for Five Green and Speckled Frogs. The download is only 89 cents and it's very upbeat and it has fun sounds in the background. Very cute! You can listen to a sample of it by clicking here. There are also other versions with the lyrics here. I will be doing a giveaway for the above song, soon!

The Pumpkin Patch Emergent Reader
Can you tell I can't live without DJ Inkers and Carson-Dellosa clip art? I have to say, I love their work!!! I know it's pretty obvious from all the printables that I create using clip art from one or both companies. I just purchased another set called Harvest Time, so I created this emergent reader to share.Our class is going to the pumpkin patch next week, so this will be a perfect fit for when we return. I hope you enjoy it, too!
