We're Going on a Leaf Hunt {Leaf Rubbings Printable}

Source: Amazon.com
As part of our Fall unit, we read the story We're Going on a Leaf Hunt by Steve Metzger. Then, we took a walk around our playground to collect leaves. When we got back to the classroom, we created leaf rubbings with our new finds. Click on the image below for a free printable if you would like to do this activity with your students.

Apples are so Good to Eat Printables

I found the following poem and added some graphics to it and made it easy to print and place in my kiddos daily Reading Binders.

The color version is for our projector and the black and white version is for our Reading Binders. We will use this as a shared reading text this week.  Just click on the pictures to get your copies.

I am so excited that it is almost fall! I love all the seasons for their very own special reasons, but fall is my definitely my favorite! I love the colors, the smells, the cool crisp air, the clothes, the decorations, the pumpkin patch field trip, bonfires, raking leaves, chili, s'mores and everything else that makes fall so wonderful!

Aww, you really know how to make a girl's day! Thanks for the awards!

What a thrilling week to open emails from wonderful readers! I wanted to take a minute to tell you how sincerely honored I was to read each of your emails and how humbled I am to receive the following awards. Thank you so much for your support of my blog. It means the world to me!

Thank you to www.teachercertification degrees.com for being named one of the Top 50 Early Education Blogs. The part about my blog made me giggle! I am so very appreciative and honored that my little ol' blog was mentioned. :)

      Top 10 TBA

Thank you, Pam from Can Do Kinders for listing my blog as one of your Top 10 Favorite Blogs. I truly appreciate your kindness! Please check out Pam's adorable blog by clicking on her button below. You will love her blog! It is colorful, creative and full of great Kindergarten content!

      Can Do Kinders

Jeannie from Class Full of "Special" Kinders awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award. She teaches Special Education Kindergarten and has an adorable blog! The pictures of her classroom are inspiring, as well! You can tell that she absolutely loves what she does and it shows. You would think she's been blogging forever, but she's a fairly new blogger. She just started blogging in July. I know she would love it if you visited and became a follower of her blog. :)

      Class Full of Special Kinders

In order to accept this award you must follow these rules.  They are:

      • Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.
      • Share 7 things about yourself
      • Pass this award along to 15 recently discovered blogs.
      7 Things About Me

      1. I love my family & being a Christian more than anything in the world!
      2. I have a son who is 11 and a daughter who is 4.
      3. My husband and I were married in front of a waterfall in a state park in Tennessee.
      4. I wear my heart on my sleeve.
      5. I love Dr. Pepper, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Sonic's cherry limeades WAY too much!
      6. I like things to be symmetrical. This can be very annoying to others. :)
      7. People laugh at my "winning" attitude. Every once in awhile it pays off though!
Even though I would absolutely love to pass on these awards to others, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I love so many blogs and I'm inspired in some way by each and every blog that I read. If your button is on my Blogs I Love page, feel free to accept these awards because I love you for a reason!

This video on playground mishaps makes me giggle!

Our Principal showed the following video during a professional development work day last week. Tonight after school, I took my kiddos to the park and it made me crack up the minute I saw my son and daughter hop on the animals on the springs/coils. :)
