Check out these great products from MPM School Supplies!
I was recently contacted by Kayla Johnson about a promotional opportunity to kick-off the summer with $50 to spend at MPM School Supplies.com in exchange for an honest review of the site.
First of all, who wouldn’t love $50 to spend on school products??? They had me at spending on their dime! :) Ha!
I was very impressed with the site and the entire ordering process. The hardest part of the process was deciding what to buy! The site has many search features, including categories like supplies, furniture and equipment, toys and books, curriculum and clearance. Once you click on a category and an item, you can even narrow your search further to make it easier to find what you are looking for. If you already know what you want, you can also search without having to go through each of the categories. You can also sort by price, popularity, newest products and alphabetically. Searching by price (low to high) is my absolute favorite search feature anywhere!
Since I didn’t know what I wanted exactly going into ordering, I spent a lot of time browsing through different categories to get a good feel for what products they carry. I was impressed by the selection of products and brands they carry and found that most of the prices were cheaper than many catalogs I purchase from and quite a bit less than the nearest school supply store that is about an hour from where I live.
I finally decided on the following items and I was jumping for joy when UPS arrived today! Did I mention that my order shipped Monday and I received it today? That’s fast—especially for free shipping!
I only spent $6.78 for everything above. I am so excited that I was able to purchase a few things that are related to our PBIS beach/ocean theme for this year. I would never have gotten the whiteboard storage pocket and Tropical Beach background paper on my own because they are considered splurges in my book, but I’m thrilled I was able to get them for free to use in my classroom this fall!
When I first opened the box, I was glad to see that they used newspaper to stuff the boxes and protect the products. My packing slip was tucked right inside the box flaps and inside there was a thank you card that said a portion of the purchase was donated to a children’s charity. Wow! Great prices, lots of products and an effort to create a greener environment while also showing compassion in the form of monetary contributions to a children’s charity. I am even more impressed now than the day I got the email and ordered all of these great products!
I was beyond satisfied with the site, the ordering process and arrival of my packages. I would like to thank Kayla for the opportunity to purchase through MPM School Supplies.com and I know I will be back and I would definitely recommend that you order through them, as well. Plus, you can't go wrong with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I was also given a 15% off discount code for the first 25 readers who would like to purchase through MPM School Supplies.com.

HeidiSongs CD's Giveaway!
For the past four years, my students and I have absolutely loved HeidiSongs! We use the DVD's almost daily and sometimes multiple times a day. The songs and actions are so lively and relevant and they help my students get up and move around while reinforcing what we are learning in the classroom. I have mentioned HeidiSongs on my blog several times before because I truly believe in Heidi's products and customer service.
I'm pleased to announce that Greg (Heidi's husband) offered to send me some products to giveaway to my fabulous blog readers! You have up to 9 chances to win one of the following CD's: Sing and Spell #5 or Sounds Fun Phonics.
The giveaway ends at 6 PM CST on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. I will contact the winners via email to obtain a mailing address. One winner will receive HeidiSongs Sing and Spell #5 CD and one winner will receive a HeidiSongs Sounds Fun Phonics CD.
You can find HeidiSongs at the following places:
I received the Sing and Spell #5 DVD, Sounds Fun Phonics DVD and Music for Classroom Management CD as compensation for an honest review about HeidiSongs products and site and to offer the above items as a giveaway. My opinions and recommendations are based on my love of HeidiSongs products.
PBIS Summer Institute and a fun treat!
I just got back from the SW Positive Behavior Support Summer Institute at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, MO. Were any of you there? The most valuable things I learned were ways to increase positive behavior on the bus (our biggest problem area) and lots of new student and teacher incentives. We got to stay right next to the lake one night and waking up the next morning was so peaceful!
We are getting ready for our fourth year of implementation of PBIS and I'm really looking forward to our Ocean/Beach theme for the year. I've already found lots of great ideas for decorating and I'm enjoying looking for more fun incentives to reward my kiddos that go along with our fun theme. Please feel free to share if you have any great ideas!
When I got home, I found a huge box waiting for me and I couldn't wait to open it!
I had won a giveaway at Teaching Heart in May and received a bag full of surprises including the following items: Teaching Heart reusable shopping bag, stuffed lamb, The Very Busy Spider (hardcover), Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3 DVD, note cards, stickers, two fun pens and a CD of lots of Teaching Heart products.
This week, I will be hosting two fun giveaways, so be sure to watch for them!

Alphabet Hundred Chart Activities: A to Z
I've been busy creating today and trying to put off reading all the great living room posts at Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life Home Tour series. :) Does anyone else love seeing a glimpse into how other people decorate? I think I'm obsessed with getting new ideas on how to decorate and then not doing any of them. Ha! ;)
So, in an effort to be productive, I made an Alphabet Hundred Chart Activities: A to Z set for TpT. Instead of revealing a picture on each new page like my other hundred chart activities, a new letter will be revealed! These would be perfect for whole class, small group or centers/stations. I hope you like them! Click on the picture below to take a peek.
I would love to give this set away to the first three people who comment about how you could use these in your classroom. Be sure to leave your email address! Thank you to those who commented! Enjoy your new activities!

What can you make with this finger puppet template?
I love seeing how many variations teachers can make from the same idea. I'm sure I'm not the only one. :) As I was lying in bed last night, I thought it would be fun to offer my finger puppets template to see what others would do with it. So, please use the template to make something FREE for others to use. Once you have created your freebie, come back and post a link to your creation. Be creative and have fun! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
