Five Green and Speckled Frogs Shared Reading and Finger Puppets {FREEBIE}

I received a comment on TpT from a sweet reader, Cheryl from Crayons and Curls, saying she would love to see some finger puppets to go along with my Five Green and Speckled Frogs Emergent Reader. I thought that was a great suggestion, so I created a freebie for her and to share with all of you! I hope you like it! I also added a Shared Reading piece for an ELA connection and made both items in color and black/white.

Also, if you haven't already downloaded it, my Hopping Fun Frog Hundreds Chart freebie would tie in even more math.

Let's Explore the Common Core! {Linky Party}

Lil’ Country Kindergarten

While I've found most of the changes from our Grade Level Expectations to the Common Core State Standards to be very positive, the hardest part is rewriting our curriculum and developing new curriculum maps. However, that has been made so much easier by others who have shared the work their districts have already done. I have found a lot of different things that I like about each of the curriculum maps or pacing guides below. This will make it so much easier when we get back to school to begin developing our own curriculum and curriculum maps.

If you have a Common Core curriculum map or pacing guide that you are willing to share or would like to link up, please do so below. I'm sure that those of us who aren't finished would very much appreciate your contributions. :)

Frog, Penguin and Santa's Suit Hundreds Charts

***Update...Due to a seller bundling my items and offering them for sale via another web site, I am no longer offering these items for free. I'm sorry! I hope you understand.***

Last night, I created several hundreds charts (frog, penguin and Santa Suit) for you to use with your pond life/life cycles and penguin theme units. I hope you will be able to use one or both. Just click on the pictures below to grab them from my TpT store for only $1 each! .

Check out the Common Core Standards Widget to the right

***Be patient. It may take a minute to load.***

If you haven't heard of Free Technology for Teachers, you HAVE to check it out. There are tons of amazing technology links, resources, tips, etc. that have been very beneficial to me and I've only known about the site for  a week and a half. It's the kind of site you want to go back and read everything from the beginning so you don't  miss out on all the great tips.

Today's great find was the Common Core Standards App. I love it because now I don't have to lug my binder back and forth between home and school. Check it out on the side of my blog. How cool is that? I'm all about things that make life easier!

You can embed it like below or have the widget to the side. I like it better on the side for myself. What do you think?

You can find out about it at MasteryConnect

Kdg. Common Core State Standards Printables {Part 2}!

You will love this freebie printable created by Donna at Peace, Love and Learning! When I saw her version, I immediately knew it would be useful for our Kdg. Parent Night before Open House. The graphics are fun and I think it will make the content seem less overwhelming for families.

Head over to Peace, Love and Learning and check out Donna's blog. Thanks so much for sharing, Donna!!!

***Update: Donna has also added first and second grade CCSS printables for anyone who needs them. Amazing!

Does anyone have a Kdg. friendly Common Core State Standards Printable?

I am trying to organize my lesson plan notebook for next year and I would really like to have a list of Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten that doesn't have all the other grade levels or all the background information. I just want the standards themselves.

Has anyone typed anything like this yet or know of a good source? I don't need anything to post for my students, I just want something for my own notebook for quick reference.
